Pizza King - Mount Vernon

Do you remember the story of "The Little Engine That Could"? This restaurant is a perfect example of that idea: the food is decent, but it definitely has the potential to be fantastic. I’d love to talk to the owner and see if he’s open to some suggestions. We had the stuffed artichoke, and it was outstanding. However, when we visited again the next day and ordered the same dish, the flavor varied. The buffalo chicken pizza could use some improvement, but the cannolis were flawless. What they really need is culinary consistency. I’m giving them 5 stars because of the stuffed artichoke and cannolis, along with the friendly staff and quick service.

This place serves great lunches. One of my favorite orders is the chicken Caesar salad with two hard-boiled eggs and extra croutons. You'll definitely recognize who recommended it!

I was heading to church and needed to grab a bite since I hadn’t had breakfast. I remembered this restaurant from my younger days and decided to stop by. It seems to have changed ownership. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn’t great; it looked like it had been sitting out for a while. However, the staff was very nice—the server even cut my pizza for me and opened my bottle of iced tea. I appreciated his pleasant demeanor. I sat down, watched the news, and enjoyed my meal in peace. Thank you!
