Mexico Cafe - Mount Vernon

I ordered Enchiladas by Tordash and the food I received was brilliant. I asked for shredded beef, and I got what I can only accept was basic beef. The sauce was oily, and the texture resembles cat-like food. I had good memories of this place as a child, but the quality obviously went down.

Cozy little Mexican cafe, great service, great food and very fair prices. You can get a great taco salad with the option of actual steak, (fajita meat), not just shredded beef! Housemade tortillas and salsas that don't kill your tastebuds.

We were really encouraged by the great reviews and decided to order via DoorDash for a date night in. We ordered flautas, nachos and a chile relleno. What we received was bland, oily and lacking any kind of presentation. Don?t get me wrong I love a hot plate of cheesy goodness, but for the price, I would have loved to see some kind of vegetable or garnish. My husband commented that the flautas reminded him of the Delimex taquitos we make in our air fryer. We won?t be ordering this again my hope is that they do a better job in person!

Couldn't have picked a better place to stop after our visit to the tulip fields! Absolutely loved the food and atmosphere! Excellent service. The food was really good!! Smelled the fresh salsa before I even tasted it!! Delish. Really yummy!

I got the adorable tacos. 3 for 18$ but they were no better than a taco truck. It comes with rice and beans though. The service was good, staff was very nice.
