Kfc - Mount Vernon
Kfc
Description
Once-beloved KFC delivers an uneven fast‑food experience: standout visits boast crisp, tender, well‑seasoned chicken, clean dining areas and friendly, efficient staff, while other orders arrive small, overly salty or dry. Patrons praise quick service and presentation but flag high prices and mismatched advertised specials, occasional drive‑thru delays, and inconsistent quality. The menu offers multiple flavors, desserts, buckets, and delivery via Grubhub/Uber Eats—appealing for quick takeout or groups, though value varies by visit.

I was truly impressed by the customer service, the meal's value, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Most importantly, the quality of the chicken was outstanding. It was delicious, featuring a crispy exterior and a tender interior, and best of all, it wasn’t salty at all. I will definitely be returning for my bucket of chicken. Well done, KFC!
I was quite disappointed with my experience at the KFC in Mount Vernon. The chicken was terrible; it was clearly reheated and way too greasy. I spent over $35 on what turned out to be very mediocre food. I also requested condiments at the drive-thru, but when I got home, there were none included. They mentioned they were about to close, which is why I had to wait over 15 minutes for my order, yet it turns out the restaurant still had over an hour before closing time. This will definitely be my last visit to that KFC. They've been around for a long time, but something seems off. A close friend of mine had a similar experience with reheated chicken, so it appears to be a recurring issue there.
I found this KFC location to be well-kept, and the customer service was both quick and friendly. However, I was taken aback by the pricing, which did not match the advertised specials. Most menu items were approximately $5.00 more than what was advertised, which raised some concerns. I'm not sure why there was such a difference, but I hope that in the future, the prices at this location will better reflect those seen in the commercials.
I walked into KFC, saw the prices, and was shocked by how expensive the meals were—way too high! I ended up leaving and went to Popeyes instead, where I could afford a chicken sandwich. Lately, my meals at KFC have been disappointing, with bland fried chicken. I even had to return my last order from the Webster Ave location. The KFC on 145th Street wasn’t any better. What happened to this place? It used to be the go-to spot for a satisfying meal, but not anymore. I’m giving 2 stars just for the nice presentation of the food.
