Contribute FeedbackMt. Vernon Inn offers a mixed dining experience. Some enjoy the traditional American cuisine and friendly service, while others noted disappointment with food quality and handling. Ambiance and service were generally praised, with a mix of positive and negative feedback on food preparation and presentation. A standout was the historic peanut soup, appreciated for its nostalgic taste. The restaurant seems to be an ideal spot for outdoor dining and special occasions, although recent experiences have been hit or miss. Overall, Mt. Vernon Inn offers a mixed bag of dining experiences, with potential for improvement in consistency and quality.
The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. We both had the fried chicken dinner, which came with mashed potatoes and green beans. We also had the cornbread appetizer. The only minor complaint we had was that the cornbread was $5 for two tiny pieces each. Other than that the experience was perfect.
I had a wonderful dining experience with delicious food!
Excellent location, fast service, food was delicious
The food was delicious and the waitress friendly and attentive! What a great experience!
Going to the mount vernon inn for lunch was a trip down memory lane from twenty years ago. The peanut soup (a great favourite of mine) was just the same and the toasted triple sandwich much better than I remembered. A great lunch. Thank you
