The menu is pretty limited but the limited choices are still great in taste. The pastries were oven heated but the taste completely took my mind off from that. The chai latte was very tasty and the service was pretty quick. Don't have any regrets trying the restaurant out twice during my 3 day stay there. View all feedback.

Friendly, good food and coffee . Even the Highway Patrol like it. Breath tested me! lol
Mountain Kitchen serves the best breakfast you can find on dinner plain. This cosy cafe is decorated in a homely style, with small tables inside. The breakfast is a decent serving of fresh ingredients. As a vegan, they didn’t explicitly accomodate dietary requirement on the menu, but the options can be adjusted to suit. For non vegans, they also have a ton of baked sweets and snacks. I had sourdough (3 slices) with beans, mushrooms and tomatoes, as pictured below. It was unfortunate that they had run out of avocado by 11:00am, when I arrived a breakfast staple that was sorely missed. As such, I’d recommend coming early. The coffee was also nice, with perfect froth and full coffee flavour for my soy latte (btw they have a lot of milk options). All in all, highly recommend!
Very good food .Nice hot chocolate. Reasonable price recommend food outlet in snow feild
The Mountain Kitchen is a great spot to head for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a coffee. It is a cute little café that serves up great coffee, homestyle gourmet food including homemade pies and pastry parcels with amazing chutney, muffins, risotto, frittata, and deliciously naughty slices. The staff are super friendly, they have the low down on what activities/events are happening in town, and the Mountain Kitchen is pretty much the daytime social gathering spot of Dinner Plain, regardless of whether you get cosy inside or sit outside on sunny days. I can't wait to get back there!

We. Recently visited this venue and had several meals here Great meals good coffee, generous servings
Having experience an unsatisfactory meal at the DP Hotel we went to the Mountain Kitchen and found it a quant café with seating for approximately 22. Plenty of staff to prepare and serve and a variety of good food in a bakery style. Pleasant surrounds and well prepared food and coffee. Staff were prompt and made our stay very pleasant. Easy parking outside the premises
Great coffee. Hearty breakfasts. I had the zaatar vegetables, feta and avocado on toast - delicious! The jams are homemade and delicious
