Wayside Restaurant has unfortunately garnered a reputation for lackluster service and an unwelcoming atmosphere. Guests frequently report rude staff, particularly bouncers and bartenders, who seem unable to accommodate even basic requests. The music quality and volume, particularly on weekends, detracts from the experience, often resonating through nearby neighborhoods. While a small dance floor attracts those looking to enjoy the nightlife, it falls short of cleanliness and comfort. This is without a doubt a college bar. It is attached to Okellys Bar, a fantastic bar with great food and excellent management staff. It can get a bit wild when the college crowd is in town.
Whenever someone mentions wanting to go to Wayside, I cringe. This place is anything but enjoyable. Every time I've been, the bouncers have been unnecessarily rude. The music is consistently awful, the security is rude, and the bathrooms are disgusting. Save your money and go somewhere better.
The restaurant is very disrespectful towards their neighbors. They consistently play music at such high volumes on Saturday nights that it can be heard in several surrounding neighborhoods.
Come here if you want a cheap std. only have to pay 5 dollars and the bouncers will insult you for free!!
Place was filthy. Music was obnoxiously loud, like louder than a concert. Couldn't even understand what anyone was saying unless they were yelling 1 inch from my ears.Doesn't quite look as awesome as the pictures advertised.
