Wayside Restaurant has unfortunately garnered a reputation for lackluster service and an unwelcoming atmosphere. Guests frequently report rude staff, particularly bouncers and bartenders, who seem unable to accommodate even basic requests. The music quality and volume, particularly on weekends, detracts from the experience, often resonating through nearby neighborhoods. While a small dance floor attracts those looking to enjoy the nightlife, it falls short of cleanliness and comfort. With so many better options available in Lansing, potential visitors may want to reconsider their choice when seeking a lively night out.

Place was dirty. the music was as louder than a concert. I couldn't understand what someone said unless they screamed 1 inch out of my ears. does not look as great as the pictures were advertised.
They need to update their website. they are not open at all days they say they are and the times are wrong.
A beautiful place to visit. unbelieving. they take their money, then they throw them out as soon as they enter. they pay $40 for a pauly D ticket then appear 2 hours early, just to be thrown away because they cannot control their amount. maybe they sell less tickets next time. I didn't drink when I was under 21, so I wasn't thrown out for drinking. in any case would recommend to any other club. lansing has better clubs than that. If you look at a celebrity guest here, you will see somewhere else. I'd rather go to ohio than spend my money here. not worth it.
This is without a doubt a college bar. It is attached to Okellys Bar, a fantastic bar with great food and excellent management staff. It can get a bit wild when the college crowd is in town.
Whenever someone mentions wanting to go to Wayside, I cringe. This place is anything but enjoyable. Every time I've been, the bouncers have been unnecessarily rude. The music is consistently awful, the security is rude, and the bathrooms are disgusting. Save your money and go somewhere better.
