Service and atmosphere is great . I wish they had more of a section of food items and drinks. The food was good though. The cheese burger and fries were amazing. View all feedback.
What Sharon Valtchanovescu doesn't like about Tavern Table:
The food was OK. Brussel sprouts were excellent. Beans were hard. The service was alittle slow. The waitress would let me make substitutions. I don't eat carbs. There were few options for vegetables. Not impressed. View all feedback.
It smells like sour puke outside the restaurant. It’s so bad it’s hard to walk in. We did, and we stood at the Please Wait To Be Seated sign without acknowledgment for a solid 10 minutes. Left without anyone knowing we were there

A lovely, large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating right on Shem Creek. The ambiance is lovely, the service is friendly, and the food is more sophisticated than one might expect. Standouts were the charcuterie board and the beet salad with whipped feta, pistachio, and dill. The skillet corn bread was very tasty, but a bit dry. The chipotle butter on top was a great addition. Peel eat shrimp were tasty, though not the best we have had. Overall, food was very good and we will go back.
Food was good but we saw rats and roaches scurrying around the deck while we sat outside on the deck. Ruined a lot of the dinner despite the good food. Unfortunate for a classy establishment
Overall excellent Sunday Brunch in Shem Creek. Great atmosphere sitting outside on the creek. Food was incredible, killer brunch. Appetizers were the Bread Board and Pimento Cheese with Bacon Jam. Both were incredible but that Bacon Jam was another level. The T&T Burrito was phenomenal. First it was huge, three people could have easily split it. The Hatch Green Chili Sauce was so flavorful. Burrito had Hash Browns (Waffle House style), Eggs, Chorizo and Cheese. Biscuits and Gravy was delicious. Sausage Gravy had a mild kick which we loved, but could see those adverse to spice could think it’s too hot. Burger was much better than your average burger. 1/2 pound of seasoned meat on a good bun that didn’t fall apart. Shrimp and Grits was solid, but average for the Charleston, SC market. The Cheese Curds were an interesting addition. Not pictured was the Chicken Sandwich which was average. The Apps, Burrito and Biscuits and Gravy made up for the other average food. Liquor Drinks are a little pricey, but the Beers are totally reasonable for Shem Creek/Mount Pleasant.
