Starbucks - Mount Pleasant

I just left the drive through of this location, and as a partner myself, i was upset and disappointed with how rude and dismissive the partner on drive through was. we also got the wrong drinks, and usually i don’t mind if that happens, but since the barista was condescending it was just a negative experience overall.

I have always been able to get an iced London fog latte through Starbucks drive thrus. For years. They take no longer to receive than my other drinks. I was told tonight I needed to come inside to order it because they take too long to make and they’re judged for the time and labor it takes to make drinks for the drive thru. I proceeded to wait for 10 min stuck behind two cars in the drive thru and hoped they’d made some progress in that time expecting I’d be in for it. I was told at the window I still needed to come inside and order my drink with no cars behind me. It was evening and pouring outside. I was told I could talk to the shift manager who stood by it because past employees weren’t supposed to be making my drinks for me. No respectable corporation permits those excuses and I’ve never had a bad experience here but this one was enough. Petty, rude and unprofessional. I almost went in but decided to take my business elsewhere, tonight and permanently. There are far too many friendly coffee shops in town who value customer service and their customers’ time and experiences over their own. I used to come here multiple times per week so hopefully the math adds up to losing a regular customer.

Coffee is fine, a little overpriced. Staff there never seem to like me. Hwy 41 and Oakland Starbucks are very friendly.

Consistent product. You know what you’re getting when you go to Starbucks. That said I went at 8 o’clock in the morning and I had to wait 20 minutes for a cup of coffee. It was mobbed. The baristas were working their butts off. I might recommend just having one station for coffee alone instead of all the fancy food and drinks.

This is the first bad review I’ve ever written, but it’s beyond warranted. This Starbucks location is the actual worst. They are ALWAYS out of everything. The staff is horrible (except for this one older lady with long blonde hair, who is a joy. There’s this one skinny guy with a soft feminine voice who wears glasses and he is the biggest ***** of all. He’s on some kind of power trip and is rude af… it’s almost like he gets off on being difficult to customers. He should NOT be working in food and bev. Do yourself a favor and go to the other Starbucks down the road instead of this one!
