Charleston Harbor Fish House, located next to the USS Yorktown in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina was an absolute pleasure from the beginning to the end. The views of Charleston Harbor, Ravenel Bridge, USS Yorktown and sunset were amazing. The restaurant was nice and suitable for a restaurant on the water. The staff was friendly and attentive. And then there was food. Wow! It was amazing and delicious!!! Best option i... View all feedback.
What Stacy S doesn't like about Charleston Harbor Fish House:
Great views, good service, and brunch. The crab soup was tasty. He liked his shrimp and grits. I ordered an omelet without ham. So they put bacon in it... I'm not sure why they made the decision to add an ingredient especially one so similar to what I asked to leave out. Once they remade it without pork, it was good. The breakfast potatoes are heavily seasoned with paprika. View all feedback.
We sat by the window just before sunset, and it was a bit warm and bright at first. However, once the sun slipped behind the clouds, we were treated to a stunning sunset while enjoying our dinner and drinks. We shared the smoked fish dip and the seafood fettuccini, both of which were delicious and generously portioned, perfect for us since we have smaller appetites. Our server was very attentive and seemed to recognize that we were on a date, checking in on us at just the right moments. The highlight of the evening was being able to head up to the rooftop bar after dinner, where we relaxed on the couches and took in the beautiful sunset view over the harbor and the ships. It was a lovely experience, and I definitely plan to return.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant during our stay at the resort. The views of the water and the historic USS Yorktown were absolutely beautiful. The service was attentive and prompt, and the food was delicious. I tried the scallops, which were incredible, and my wife had the lobster ravioli, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The cornbread served as an excellent appetizer as well. The prices were reasonable, and there were plenty of great drink options. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.
Our only issues were with the staff. The hostess did not greet us and chose to answer the phone rather than acknowledge our presence when we arrived for our reservation. We waited around 3 to 5 minutes before we were seated. Our waitress was friendly, but it took quite a while to get her attention for more tea, water, and our bill.
Went for the views stayed for the food! The patio seating was enclosed, but the tables still faced the sunset. We viewed the sunset from the roof top bar and returned downstairs for dinner. The grilled salmon was very flavorful over grains, but the menu was very limited in fish options with salmon or the days catch. The service was prompt and attentive and the waiters were knowledgeable of the surrounding area as well.
Gorgeous view and great seafood, only issue I had was they said we didn't need a reservation when we called and when we walked in they said we needed one. Other than that I enjoyed it
