I absolutely loved my experience! The staff and management were impeccable and incredibly friendly. The customer service was outstanding. The facilities were pristine, and the ambiance was delightful. The food was amazing and very generous in portion size. My steak was cooked to perfection per my specifications, and the service was quick. The building itself is beautiful and has been tastefully restored to perfection. I've stayed in the rooms at various locations, and they are cozy and meticulously clean. I live in Gawler and usually frequent places that serve steak or seafood, but I can't recommend this place enough—it truly deserves more than just 5 stars!

I had a few nights stay at Macs in October and I really can 't complain. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is quirky and authentic. I kept hearing myself wonder "if these walls could talk. The room was basic, small and tidy but was rather dusty The shared bathroom was very clean. Repainting was only half complete but was still bright. The automatic room spray device in my room was causing me some breathing difficulties but was very high on the wall and there was no way to turn it off so a couple of the staff turned on their acrobatics and took it down. They were very prompt and rather entertaining in doing so. I 've given this place an over all 4 star based on my experience in accommodation in the budget category. It was warm, comfortable, friendly and it 's affordable. Staff make you feel right at home too, their smiles and conversations feel genuine unlike some other much more expensive hotels I 've stayed where they seem to smile through gritted teeth. I 'd absolutely be staying again.
