The Federal - Mount Gambier Australia

I went to this restaurant on Friday night with a group reservation. I contacted them in advance to inquire about a vegan meal, and the chefs prepared an amazing dish for me, bursting with flavor and color. Despite it being a bustling evening, the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return the next time I'm in Mt Gambier.

The venue was fantastic. The staff, especially Dale, were extremely friendly and the schnitzel menu was excellent. We both ordered the small schnitzels, which were a generous size. We mentioned to the staff that we wanted to watch the AFL game, and they seated us at a table with a great view of the TV. The dessert we had later in the evening was also delicious. The pokies kept my partner entertained while I watched the footy, and his winnings covered our expenses for the night. Overall, a great experience.

Edit: this has recently been removed, we have tried the new vegan carvings. they were so great. the children ate so fast. it's a pity they don't have salatable anymore. they made the kids size carvings in the deal on their menus vegan so much customizable for us. updated by previous review on 2021-07-12

This pub added a dedicated veg/a menu in 2020 and a vegan shinitzel to its regular menu. Veg menu is not really pub food, but great served and tasty enough for a group outing with omnis. the dahl is not too exciting, but good, although it is really a kicherbsen and kartoffelkur. I had the carving as parmie with vegan cheese. it is served with chips and by-products. the carving itself is a kind of blase and squeaking art pattie with a beautiful crumb. they are served two.
