What User doesn't like about Flour + Water:
The place looked lovely lit up with fairy lights and a roaring brazier outside. Lovely ambience and great food. Unfortunately the service let it down. We had a fab starter and main course (after requesting some black pepper) and drink with our main, but after our main course we were left sitting for ages without a drink (we weren't offered any table water) or dessert menu. We were looking forward to a dessert and ano... View all feedback.
My family (including 2 young boys) grabbed takeaway 3 nights in a row after 3 days at the snow, each night trying something different. It was so convenient being across the road from the Bogon Moth Motel where we stayed. We'd ring up and order as we were driving down the mountain on the way home and collect it as we arrived back at the motel. First night we had pizza - Tropicana, Roast Pumpkin/fetta, pine nuts and garlic pizza. All were incredible! Second night was a perfectly cooked salmon fillet with delicious Asian veges, rice and the tastiest sweet glaze on the salmon and drizzled on the rice. Presentation was out of this world!!! Hubbie had eggplant parmigiana which he was happy with. And the kids had fish and chips - it comes with a super delicious salad (which I ate hahaa). Third night we had sweet sticky pulled pork burgers with coleslaw and chips which were great! Perhaps add a little more coleslaw so the ratio of meat to coleslaw is more balanced. Soooo delicious though and amazing flavour. And boys had fish and chips again. Wonderful friendly owners and a menu we could try one of everything from. I was even treated to a little gluhwein while waiting for my takeaway to be finished off. A great find and we will definitely eat here when back next time.
Foods that hug you. Yes, that's exactly how it feels dining at Flour + Water. Went on a 3d4n Falls Creek trip and decided to stay at Alpenhorn (see my review on that one). Upon arrival at the lodge, we saw this lovely looking resto right across the road and decided to give it a try given the long trip from Melbourne, not having to drive further is a plus. And boy we're so glad we did. The food here is just 10/10, I mean gourmet quality, think 5 star hotel type of dishes at a price that's fairly reasonable. Good sized portions as well, suitable for sharing. We ended up dining here nightly, literally. We tried almost every item on the delicately curated menu and the nightly specials, and honestly you can't go wrong. Every dish is an experience you'll enjoy. Order anything. And when I said 5-star experience, I also mean top customer service. Everyone from the owner down to the youngest waitress treats you like you belong. We instantly felt like we've been dining here for decades. Again, Warm Hugs. Comfort. Delightful experience. Definitely a key note in our winter holiday.

I was staying at Bogong Moth directly across the road. Being vision impaired the owners brought my pizza across the road so I didn't have to try and cross the highway. It was a really nice Hawaiian pizza and I believe it might have been cooked in a wood oven as it had a lot of flavour. My only problem I thought a small would be enough, it was so nice I wanted more.
Really helpful staff. great atmosphere and wonderfull food. It's the little little extras that go a long way like quality colouring books for the kids, free little adult drinks before and after dinner. Most importantly though was the wonderful food.
