I had no idea this place existed. Was actually heading to the op shop next door. Lazy Sunday drive up from Melbourne, it was superb and super seasoned. We bought a chicken and leak, beef burgundy and two vanilla slices. Pastry was just the right thickness, juicy and really satisfying. Will definitely come back when up this way again.
As another review said, mostly vegetarian pies/sausage rolls. The regular sausage roll was mushy, might be a fake meat one, not sure but not worth $7. No love felt in this place and would try elsewhere when in Castlemaine next. Vanilla slice was $8...very expensive.
We can't go past the delicious pastries and other baked goods at this well known local bakery. The pies are the best we have ever tasted.
