Our lunch at the Chong Yet Yin Chinese Restaurant in Mt. Airy was very enjoyable. Both my wife and I had the hot and sour soup. For our entrée we had the San Shien Wor Bar which included shrimp, chicken and beef along with vegetables. The portion size was generous and the service was friendly and attentive. We look forward to a future visit to the restaurant. View all feedback.
What Tracey Rizzo doesn't like about Chong Yet Yin Chinese:
Awful place. The lady that works there is very rude. We ordered carry out and our son was super excited about his fortune cookie!! Only to find out THEY DONT GIVE FORTUNE COOKIES FOR CARRYOUT ORDERS!!! For what their food costs and they can’t even give you a fortune cookie. Will drive to New Market in the future. Worth the drive!! View all feedback.
Please do not waste your time and money here. $45 “whole Peking duck” ended up to be 2 halves of a sliced quarter leg and 2 halves of a sliced wing with a massive piece of lettuce underneath to make it look bigger. Very dry and far from being tasty. A “very friendly” woman on reception was saying that someone else had already picked my order till I manually pointed her to my order located next to her.
Over charged, chicken in a rice container. No fork. No fortune cookie. Not coming back.
All the food dishes are very bland. The crab Rangoons are all fried wonton and so little crab/cream cheese mixture that you can't even tell it's in there. Their chow mein is served with rice instead of noodles and is extremely slimy ?? the egg rolls have nothing in them but a little bit of cabbage, also bland. The beef and broccoli lacked flavor and the fried rice had just rice and eggs and tasted like it was only seasoned with oil. Oh also forgot to add that the crispy noodles that go with the soup were extremely stale. Would not go here again.
