Pheasant Cafe - Mott
Pheasant Cafe
Description
Located in a small town, this restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere with convenient parking, wheelchair accessibility, and a strong focus on accommodating families and children. The staff is often praised for their flexibility, such as preparing off-menu items for special needs diners. While some diners have appreciated fresh ingredients like well-maintained fry oil and toasted bread, others have noted a decline in food quality and service under new management, including order mix-ups and underwhelming dishes. Vegetarian options are available but limited. Overall, experiences vary widely, blending moments of genuine care with occasional frustrations.

Feedback
As we waited, we watched everyone around us—who arrived after we did—receive their food. When we inquired about our order, we found out they had lost our ticket. Yet, they continued to prepare and serve other orders before ours, tackling them one at a time. When I finally voiced my complaint, I was told they would give us a 50% discount, but since my uncle had already paid, we were charged the full price. The quality of food and service has really declined since the new owners took over. I used to live in Mott and worked for Red in high school. Under Norm's ownership, the restaurant was managed much more efficiently, similar to Red's approach. Unfortunately, the place felt dirty, and it seemed like the kitchen staff on duty that night lacked basic cooking skills. Overall, it was a deeply disappointing experience.
The atmosphere is very relaxing. Parking: Convenient parking available. Kid-friendliness: Extremely accommodating for children. Wheelchair accessibility: Access for individuals with disabilities is good.
