This is a lovely place to either stay or dine. The food is excellent and the service is very professional. However, the prices are slightly on the high side, although one might argue that they reflect the luxurious experience and ambiance. View all feedback.

What Hayley Paige dislikes about Treehouse:
It would be helpful for your website to clearly state that the restaurant is only open to residents of the resort for dinner. Given that you have no information about this policy and that my friend was allowed in despite not being a guest, I felt it was necessary to leave this review. If your website had included this information, or if you hadn’t misrepresented the policy, I wouldn't be writing this. It's a real dis... View all feedback.

Absolutely fantastic. Top level service and excellent food. Really nice combinations and the service advice was very helpful. Lovely atmosphere and surroundings. The building and facilities are amazing. It is also excellent value under priced for the quality.

Snobs!! Not worth the detour out of Mossman. Unattentative staff. Also for a simple mid afternoon drink/coffee a dress code applies that is inconsistent with the qld attire worn when very hot.

Very disappointed that Silky Oaks have changed their menu. We used to love having lunch here, but forcing customers to choose from an expensive set menu is absolutely disappointing. All the entres were raw, and our desert was still frozen. At $50 per head this is rediculous. The staff didn 't have a clue about the food or wine either, and the service was slow. It 's no excuse that it 's the first day of the new menu, especially when your customers are paying $100s of dollars to dine. Stay at silky oaks, it 's beautiful, but avoid the food. They have chosen an easy, cheap, time saving approach with this set menu and it leaves little to be desired.

I visited Silky Oaks Lodge for lunch on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Unfortunately, there were only three main courses available, as they had run out of a pasta dish. The choices were Pumpkin Salad, Barramundi Croquettes, or steak. Instead of these, we opted for a Caesar salad, which we were informed was a large portion despite being an appetizer. However, it turned out to be quite ordinary and not fulfilling. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful location (5 stars), and the wine list is quite impressive, but it was let down by the mediocre food and the limited lunch menu. In previous visits, we had wonderful meals here, so we felt disappointed, especially since we wanted this lunch to be a special occasion during our holiday in Queensland from Victoria. We even mentioned this to the staff.
