I only ate the most delicious taco ever. Order a luxurious Brisket taco. I'm serious, this is the best Taco I've ever had. Perfect with a beer. There should be a number of people who order these tacos. And I couldn't believe the low price. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Hoof Trotter:
Eating was fine, maize bread a little dry. Beans were different, not my pleasure, but others could find them delicious. Mac and cheese were good, the tri-tip plate was a stringy. Food wasn't exactly hot, but not cold. It would have been better if the food came out with some steam. View all feedback.
The dining experience was decent overall. The maize bread was a bit dry, and while the beans weren't to my taste, I can see how others might enjoy them. The mac and cheese was tasty, but the tri-tip plate had a somewhat stringy texture. The food wasn't served hot but also wasn't cold; it could have benefited from being served with a bit more warmth and steam.
I just had the most incredible taco I've ever tasted. You have to try the luxurious brisket taco—it's seriously the best! It pairs perfectly with a beer. I couldn't believe how affordable it was, and I can only imagine how many people would love these tacos!
I visited the Hoof and Trotter for a business meeting, even though it was my first time there. The staff was incredibly friendly! Although the decision-maker wasn't available, I chose to invite two others for lunch, and I'm so glad I did! I tried the fat seal, along with coleslaw, beans, and cornbread, and it was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return!
My wife and I went in and the place smelled incredible. We were so excited that we spent $35 on an order. My wife got the pulled pig, beans and pommes. I had the pulled pig, Brisket, Mac and cheese, beans and wings. Every meal came with a piece of corn bread. To the experience. The service was friendly. There was a little waiting since they were finished cooking the Mac and the cheese. No problem. They offered water and we took place. We got our food about 5 minutes later, then we drove home for 5 minutes. We opened our meals and found my wife's fries missing; but with an extra corn bread. No big deal. The maize bread tasted and it was SUPER dry; completely unusable. The beans were soupy; the only silver lining there was the burned ends in it. Our two pulled pork belts were cold, and so was my bride. The wings were pretty decent. They advertised them as savory mango, but ended up as spicy mango. This is a pleasant surprise, I love spicy food. Finally the Mac and cheese. I had great hopes for this green Chili Mac and cheese. I open the lid and notice that it was cooked with 2 different types of pasta. Typically not a deal breaker when properly made, but its hard to do as various pastas cook at different rates. I take a bite and a kind of pasta was perfect, the other one was crispy. In the end, if the food was just cold, I wouldn't have a problem. I have an oven, I can warm it up. But forgetting one side, terrible maize bread, terrible beans, and boiled pasta puts this place on a 1 in terms of food for me. Give it an additional 1 star because the service was friendly.
Had our company dinner here and all of us were very impressed with the flavor. The meat (brisket pulled pork) was fantastic, probably the best smoked meat we've ever had- very, very tasty and so tender! My only suggestion would be to possibly add a sweet sauce choice to the sauce lineup (for those who don't love the vinegar flavor), and maybe a simple veggie as a side choice for something a bit lighter. The slaw, macaroni, and potato salad we're all good though. The service was also very friendly and helpful. Overall, a good experience!
