Was User at Lodgepole a mag?
We had a wonderful evening tonight. Kalissa was extremely attentive and personable. I ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken, and it was excellent. The dessert was also amazing. The atmosphere was chic yet relaxed and intimate. If we lived in Moscow, this restaurant would definitely be our go-to spot for special dinners. View all feedback.

What Richard C dislikes about Lodgepole:
We arrived around 7 PM on a Thursday and waited a little over an hour for our food. Our server was friendly and well-informed about the menu, but after we finished our two drinks, it took quite a while for him to check on us. While we didn't mind the wait since we had no food yet, we did request refills, which only arrived when our meals were finally served. The food itself was good, but not quite up to the standards... A must-visit spot in the Moscow-Pullman area. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is incredibly helpful. They also share their revenue with the team, so tipping isn't necessary—something I hope becomes standard across the country. The food quality is outstanding; the ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection. We tried the Wagyu Carne Asada, Idaho Trout Pasta, a salad, a duck entrée, and a signature dish featuring trout on rice. While the portions may not be overly large, each dish truly delighted me.

While we didn't mind the wait since we had no food yet, we did request refills, which only arrived when our meals were finally served. The food itself was good, but not quite up to the standards I expected given the prices. You can find better value and quality at other places, although the atmosphere here is nice for a date.

Such a hidden gem. I didn't expect such a great dining experience in a small town, but they did it. And it's just amazing. This place can easily get on the Michelin guide if they open the restaurant in a bigger city. And if they couldn't get on the list, it's Michelin's fault, not theirs. Food is simply delicious. Ingredient is fresh and of high quality. All the things on the menu look familiar, you have seen them at other resturants many times before, but they execute so well and that's why they stand out. We had meat and cheese board, market salad, smoked Idaho trout pappardelle and wagyu carne asada. We love everything coming out from their kitchen and we emptied every plate in minutes. The seasoning is just right. They don't over salt the food, like what some fancier restaurants would do in fear of lacking the flavor, but try to highlight the original flavor of the ingredient instead. Their wagyu carne asada is cooked to medium by default but incredibly tender and flavorful. I can't wait to come back and have more. Did I mention they are also a tip-free restaurant? And the staff there are some of the happiest people I've seen, while providing some of the best services we've got so far. This is how you know their employees are treated well.

Great tweezer food! Tweezer food has arrived in Idaho! I ordered the braised pork shank for $46 because I was hungry and wanted to have a heavier meal. And then the entree covered one third of the bowl. My 91 year-old mother ordered the same and had no problem finishing it. I told the waiter (nicely) that I was surprised to order this dish and an appetizer and then leave hungry. He said because it was pork they had decided to make it small. Nice philosophy to offer portion control for other people. And did he offer something? Mashed potatoes maybe? Nope. Went home and ate an energy bar and a peanut butter sandwich. I recommend you bring food with you just in case. Delicious food, went home hungry and frustrated.
