When we arrived at the Hot... read more I am an Austrian author with German roots and was invited to Mosbach to give a reading on the occasion of the exhibition of my books. When we arrived at the Hotel Lamm (Suite Odenwald for 155.00 euros/day), our room was only moderately warm because the heating was only turned on on the day of arrival. We were freezing the first two nights and in the morning we needed an additional heater so we could shower. The problem was only solved on the 3rd day. The thermostats didn't work and shut off overnight. The problem was only solved by replacing it with normal control valves. When we asked to give us a legitimate discount for the first two days, we were rudely rebuffed by the “hotel manager”. We had to pay the full amount, which even met with incomprehension among the employees. Our disappointment about this is indescribable and the way we treat guests is out of the question. A big compliment, however, to the hotel staff, who met us with great friendliness and willingness to help (a second blanket to protect us from the cold and a heater).
