There was also a very reasonable children's menu which was helpful... read more We enjoyed 3 lovely lunches at " L'etale". Really good food with a great menu to choose from. There was also a very reasonable children's menu which was helpful. The staff were very friendly. The portions are huge so I would suggest not having a starter. You won't be disappointed.

Admittedly we were a group of 25, so we were ushered downstairs to a lively room which was quite dark and smelled of gas from the retro gas lights on the tables... read more Admittedly we were a group of 25, so we were ushered downstairs to a lively room which was quite dark and smelled of gas from the retro gas lights on the tables. With kids on one table and adults another our teenagers were not given good service and struggled for drinks and attention. Overall the food was good and not too pricey but next time would look for somewhere better suited to a large mixed age group
