What Yuriy Perelman doesn't like about Windows On The Water:
Windows on Water is a charming restaurant with a beautiful view of the bay. The service is good, and the restrooms are clean. However, when it comes to the food, it clearly does not live up to the price. I tried the scallops with mandarin, mushrooms, and fried bacon for the first time. It was certainly inventive, but I prefer my bacon cooked with eggs, and it was overpriced. I also had the halibut, which was overcook... View all feedback.
2009 I had a table reserved for 3 and had no beautiful experience. We left the restaurant without food. I wrote a review here and the manager of Windows wrote me a very nice email that asked me to try it again and contain a food gift certificate for 2 along with his phone and email information. I thought that was a very nice gesture and reacted. It took a while back to Morro Bay, almost 18 months, but he and his staff were more than gracious. I took a dear friend with me and we had an excellent meal, a table on the window with a great view and perfect service. We enjoyed it completely and come back. Every restaurant has a bad day. You will be forgiven.
During a recent trip to Paso Robles and Morro we went to Windows for dinner. We eat a lot and came to Windows because we heard about their big wine list. The wine list could not save the really sad state of food. The entrances took one hour in a half-filled restaurant and they arrived cold and tasteless. The service is terrible, and trust me, I've been through years of school as waiter and busboy in Orange Cty, New York and L.A. We ordered the Branzino (cold, lifeless, inedible) and the “local” special sea bass (dried, cold, with cans Mandarin orange slices). The crab was obviously frozen, soggy and slightly surpassed by your Nigborhood Ralphs. The worst part of the entire experience, the exaggerated prices. We ate in Artisan in Paso the night before for less than $100 and it was heavenly. Windows rests on his port reputation and they don't care. AVOID

We made a wedding here four years ago. Today we had an epic culinary experience. Amazing sunset. Started with the Lobster Bisque (God) freshly baked bread, followed by the Stripped Sea Bass (ruly from this world) with a refreshing lemon mouse with fresh berries. Our host Jordan was thrilled. If you have the opportunity to dine here, don't miss it. Everything was spectacular!!! Compliments to the cooking staff.
Always had a great meal here! Staff are friendly and with the food, they make it well worth the price! Still come and enjoy every dish and there is a very good selection of wine.
