Description

Located in Morro Bay, this burger joint showcases a bustling atmosphere with friendly staff, yet offers a varied culinary experience. While some patrons rave about the delicious, juicy burgers and crispy hand-cut fries, others have experienced moments of disappointment, citing expensive prices for mediocre side dishes. The menu features enticing options like the chipotle-drenched John Wayne burger and the bleu cheese burger, which have won over many visitors. Nevertheless, a few customers noted issues with service and specific food items. Overall, while there are highlights, potential diners may want to manage their expectations.

The burgers are amazing and the fries are delicious. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. Definitely one of the best burger joints.

I asked for pepper on my hamburger and the person working there said they didn't have black pepper. I've never been to a burger joint that didn't have pepper! I decided to leave since it was a waste of time and the person taking orders was unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend this place if you like pepper. I would have given a lower rating if I could.

The staff at this restaurant is very friendly, but the food and prices were disappointing. $6 for french fries that looked good but tasted like oil instead of potatoes. The $12 burger was slightly undercooked but still edible. $27 for a burger, fries, and a $7, 10oz beer in a plastic cup seemed overpriced. The pickles tasted like they were from a large industrial container, and the ketchup was of a generic brand and heavy in high fructose corn syrup. Overall, for $27, the experience was just okay. I don't think I will be returning to this place.

I discovered this gem in the local guide while visiting Morro Bay. I absolutely loved the ambiance of this restaurant! The Wee Burger was a delightful homemade version of a classic In-N-Out Burger, complete with salad, tomatoes, pickles, onions, and a special mayonnaise-based sauce. The burger was perfectly cooked and not tough. The hand-cut fries were incredibly tasty as well! I do wish they had their homemade shakes available, but unfortunately they were not offered at the time. We dined outside in a lovely covered area and the staff was outstanding - very friendly and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would highly recommend it to others. I will definitely be returning when I am in town again!

I had the John Wayne burger with a delicious chipotle sauce, juicy patty, and crispy beer-battered onion ring. The fries were also delicious, hand-cut daily to perfection. They offer a good selection of beers on tap, non-alcoholic drinks, and handmade shakes. I will definitely be returning.
