The food at this restaurant was excellent. I left feeling very full. The tilapia was particularly delicious, and the portions were very generous. The menudo was outstanding. The owner/cashier was extremely friendly. This stop really brightened my day! I was so hungry that I forgot to take photos of all the food! ?? View all feedback.
What Kole Roob doesn't like about Tacos El Viejon:
If you're looking for a change from the many seafood restaurants in the city, come here for delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. The alambre torta was incredibly tasty, especially when paired with salsa from the amazing salsa bar. The service was quick, prices were reasonable, there was plenty of seating (although I chose to get my food to-go), and the bathroom was clean. I would definitely come back, 10 out of 1... Excellent authentic food of Mexico and everything I've tried has been tasty.
Love this place for authentic street tacos as well as california surf burritos. The flavors are always solid and salsas are perfectly hot. Our order included tacos, burritos, flautas, enchiladas, and quesadillas with everything from mushrooms to suadero. Not a complaint to be heard. Best to bring your Spanish skills and I recommend take out. The seating is ok.
Food had no flavor, salsas were not spicy, was looking for authentic but I think taco temple is better than this.
Super delicious! Lots of variety. SO MANY DELICIOUS SALSAS. Vegan and vegetarian options. I got the mushroom tacos. They were small and delicious. Our server was incredibly happy and just had a great vibe.Vegetarian options: Mushroom tacos without cheese were delicious. Would add beans and rice for bigger meal.
This place is 1000% authentic. The salsas are fresh from the bar and everything is flavorful. This place leaves Taco Temple in the dust. If you want real Mexican food def come here. It's perfect and everyone is friendly.Everything is excellent, but the Pozole is *chef's kiss* on a cool day.If you're done with a serf or want to bring a burrito to the beach this is hands down the spot.
