We went to the pub for Sunday lunch after a colleague recommended it, and we were not disappointed! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and friendly. The food came out quickly, but everything was freshly made to order and absolutely fantastic. The roast potatoes were heavenly, and even my daughter, who is extremely picky, declared it the best Sunday dinner she's ever had! We can’t wait to return and try the weekday menu, too.
We received prompt and friendly service. The food was delightful, and we had a wonderful Sunday lunch.
We made a reservation for a family meal while on vacation in the area, influenced by online reviews. Unfortunately, we found the atmosphere at the Plough to be lacking, and the service was quite slow. When our food finally arrived, it was of decent quality but didn’t stand out in any way; some dishes were even overcooked. The food was on par with what you’d expect from a chain pub, but not among the better options. Overall, we felt that both the food and the experience offered poor value for money, and we will look for a different place if we return to this area.
I couldn’t fault The Plough at all, the food was good value and very tasty and the service was great. Planning another visit in a few weeks time.
