A friend and I went here for morning tea last month. It has taken over what used to be Crisidas Cafe ( which used to be horrible) and we were very impressed. Coffee and cake was very nice, spacious seating and a view over the river at Morpeth. Staff also friendly and attentive. Can't wait to sample their home made scones which I am told are the best in the region. View all feedback.

As other reviewers have noted. The service .........very slow to get menus, almost an hour for meals to come out . not in a busy time of the day.Water, we had to ask twice. Terrible service. I'd like to give my opinion on the food but I can't as we walked out before ordering! They sat us down and then never came back and preceded to serve and take orders from people who came in after us. We heard them telling everyone it was going to be long waits even though it was 1.30pm and the restaurant wasn't full. Decided to try another Savannah Cafe down the road which had great service, cheaper food, and a better menu
My partner and I went to this cafe for breakfast on a Thursday morning. We had to go and get the waitress to come take our order and then she proceeded to call us pet names like "sweetie" as she was taking our order. Food was average at best.
Lunch for 3 on mothers day. We didn't have a booking but were seated promptly. There was a wait to place our order and on food but this was to be expected on a such a busy day. Milkshakes were ok but food was TERRIBLE. We ordered a chicken schnitzel BLT and the squid rings. Both were processed, freezer aisle quality. This was EXTREMELY disappointing considering the location of the cafe. Ocean not even an hour away and surrounded by the freshest farm produce in Australia. For the squid I got an enormous bowl of greasy chips and 4 reconsituted squid rings. The BLT lacked any flavour and was stuffed with a huge chunk of processed chicken which didn't get touched. No one asked us if we enjoyed our meals even though we hardly ate any of it. Don't be an unsuspecting tourist, there are plenty of other cafes to choose from in the area. I hope they read their reviews because this seems to be a constant problem!!
Waited 20 minutes for coffee to be made! Staff dropped a piece of food on the floor and served dish to a customer missing part of the meal! Terrible service! Never again!
