Fonta Flora in downtown Morganton has a nice variety of their own craft beers, in addition to some local wines and ciders to choose from. Their beers are super unique, sometimes with flavors that you don't even expect to be in beer--like Kudzu! Supper table was a fun seasonal beer, with sweet potato and pie spices, like allspice, cloves, and cardamon. Really tasty and good depth of flavor. Will definitely be back! View all feedback.
What David U doesn't like about Fonta Flora Brewery:
Beautiful place...if it wasn't for the straight bitches working behind the bar it would be great. If you are into communism and patchouli then this is the place for you. If you appreciate America and freedom then steer clear. View all feedback.
This taproom was one of the highlights of our vacation, exploring North Carolina. The town was sort of a random pick, but the fact that it had several breweries within walking distance and close lodging won us over. The taproom was set up in this nice old building on the end of the main part of town. There is a nice newer hotel right across the street. The beer was great and the atmosphere was very nice. We sat out on the sidewalk patio and relaxed. It looks like they have live music at times, but they didn't have any that night. My wife enjoyed all the plants that were placed around the property and even in the restrooms. The beertender was very nice and friendly and answered all of our questions. He mentioned that the actual brewery was down the road a ways and on our way to our next destination the following day we unintentionally drove by it. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by.
Great beer and an excellent location. Plenty of seating both inside and out.
Scrumptious beer, delightful staff that knows their beer stuff and one of the coolest restrooms ever!
Around 15 beers on tap, and they are all good. Some local wines and ciders as well. Food trucks visit several nights a week. Best of all, the staff are all awesome. If I were a local I’d be here every day.
Was not very kid friendly. It felt a little too formal for a brewery. We had our kids and we felt guilty about letting them be themselves. However, the beer was good, no question there. The food truck was yummy! Lobsters dogs was delicious! I ordered a Avocado stuffed with seared Tuna. Mmmmm!! The kids loved the Cheerwine since we’re from Georgia.
