The service is improving and the management seem to have made a great start. The menu is very good with plenty to select from. This cafe is excellent value for money.

The chicken was cooked to perfection and you co... read more Today I was fortunate enough to have lunch at Matte Black Cafe. I had the chicken skewers, which were delicious! The chicken was cooked to perfection and you could tell that good quality chicken had been used as there was no fatty pieces. I would definitely have this meal again. I also had a chai latte, which was perfect! Best chai latte ever!On another note, the customer service at this venue was amazing. I was supposed to eat lunch with a group of friends and my daughter, who is in a pram, at another restaurant in the area. The staff at that place were rude and would not accommodate our group and the pram. I was in tears by the time I arrived at Matte Black but thankfully the staff advised me that they would comfortably seat us all and that the pram was no issue. They re-arranged all the tables and chairs to provide a larger table and a place to comfortably store the pram.Thank you so much for the delicious food and wonderful customer service. We will definitely be back!

The menu is limited but good with plenty to chose from, daily specials on offer. With a little bit more training for some of the staff in regard to taking of orders, don't rely on memory for orders. Remove dishes from the tables in a timely manner and more professional approach from the waiting staff. The food was excellent, generous servings and served very quickly.

The chicken was cooked perfectly and it was clear that high quality ingredients were used as there were no fatty pieces. I would definitely order this dish again. I also enjoyed a chai latte, which was the best I've ever had! The customer service at this establishment was exceptional. I had originally planned to eat lunch with a group of friends and my daughter, who was in a stroller, at another restaurant nearby. Unfortunately, the staff at that restaurant were rude and unwilling to accommodate us and the stroller. I was in tears by the time I arrived at Matte Black Cafe, but the staff there kindly assured me that they could comfortably seat us all and accommodate the stroller. They rearranged the tables and chairs to create a larger table and a space to store the stroller. Thank you for the delicious food and fantastic customer service. We will definitely be returning!

The cafe was... read more We had an amazing brunch for my grandmother's birthday yesterday. The staff were all incredibly friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be working. The cafe was clean and the menu was great. The chef deserves compliments for serving 5 meals and 2 children's meals in a timely manner, all of which were delicious. Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning.
