Was Anonym at Siesta cafe a mag?
Varied menu, reasonable prices served by a team of enthusiastic young people. Only complaint is that they have no customer toilets which can be an issue when travelling with young children. You just have to time it right! View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Siesta cafe:
Popped in after a walk along the beach with the wife. She'd been there before and really rated it. First impressions were good, clean, buzzing atmosphere, friendly staff who were busy but not overwhelmed. We ordered bacon and egg rolls and coffee. Coffee was fab and arrived promptly. Rolls arrived soon after and boy the portions were large, twice as large as i expected. So far so good. Unfortunately it went a little... View all feedback.
I put off writing this review for some weeks, as the food is actually good. However, after using this cafe at least 2-3 times per week over a minimum of 4-6 weeks, after my usual cafe stopped focusing on breakfast, I thought to my self,...how many chances do you give a place. The last time i visited, I walked in, sat at a table, and waited minimum 10 minutes, watching 4 staff stand in the kitchen door laughing and talking while I waited. So I left. Previous visit, the barista asked me if I wanted a second coffee, to which I said, yes please. Even had a staff member ask me, did I want anything else, and I said I was waiting for a coffee, to which she said she'd check. After minimum 15 minutes, I got up to pay, and listened to them argue with each other whether they'd prepared my coffee. NO YOU DIDN'T! A few weeks ago, went for lunch, perhaps 2.30pm on a Sunday. Ordered an omlete with the barista, and sat outside reading the paper. After 30 minutes, I thout, it should be here by now, so I asked where it was. Seems he'd forgotten. However, the interesting things was, when I thought about it, if he'd not placed my order, then in theory, they had a customer, sitting outside, waiting. And in 30 minutes, I did not see another staff member, no one to ask did I want anything. Should I do on!! And here you have a regular customer, spending $25 each day. In general, the staff are polite, but I wouldn't say friendly (in most cases), they're more focused on behind counter work, or cleaning tables, than paying any attention to seated customers, and their main focus in the morning is the trade they do at the window in takeaway coffees. In an area with a growing number of cafes, one of the best ways to differentiate yourself is service, and this place loses out big time. If you want to eat somewhere with excelllent service, anf you're around for lunch or dinner, duck up to Tommy Ruff. They understand how to serve a customer in a friendly and efficient manner, with great food. I only wish they opened for breakfast.
Great place to meet for lunch or coffee. Staff friendly and food very good ..quite reasonable in price
Unfortunately it went a little downhill from there. The eggs were so overcooked they were like rubber and the yolks hard boiled. Bacon was also overcooked as well so felt let down by the food. Staff were great and very helpful. We will go back because there are several other things on the menu that look too good to pass up so hoping today was just "one of those days"
This cafe is the best I have ever visited, and it also caters to those with gluten intolerance! I ordered the vegetable stack with gluten-free bread and it was absolutely delicious. The service, food, location, and atmosphere were all fantastic. I could not find any faults with this place and highly recommend it to others!
I visited Siesta cafe and deli based on my sister's recommendation, and I was not disappointed. I tried the chicken and avocado roti, which was filled with plenty of chicken, fresh green avocado, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes - it was perfect. My cappuccino was also delicious. The staff provided fabulous service, they were polite and friendly. I will definitely be returning soon. I wish I could give them a 10 out of 10!
