When we... read more We were denied entry simply because we are a same-sex couple. The bouncer told us that we needed to have a woman with us in order to be allowed inside. When we explained that we just wanted to enter as a male couple, he refused to let us in. We waited for a few minutes while around 20 other people (15 young men and 5 women) were allowed in, yet we were still turned away. As we decided to leave, everyone present witnessed the interaction with the bouncer, who insisted, "People like you are not allowed!" I was appalled. It's 2021, and it's disheartening to see places still engaging in discriminatory practices against homosexual couples.
