Conscious Cravings Co - MORDIALLOC
Conscious Cravings Co
Description
Nestled in a vibrant area, this café draws attention with its inviting décor and commitment to supporting local businesses. Diners rave about the ample gluten-free and vegan options, particularly the nachos and smoothies, which many consider delicious and well-portioned. However, the experience can be hit-or-miss; while some enjoy well-prepared dishes and friendly service, others report issues with slow service and menu unavailability. Despite some overpriced items and occasional dissatisfaction with specific choices, the café remains a beloved spot for its unique atmosphere and diverse menu, appealing to both casual visitors and locals alike.

I have been to this restaurant several times and each visit has left me impressed by the amazing atmosphere and positive energy it offers. The food is delicious and I highly recommend trying their Healing Ayurvedic Kitchari, especially for those craving Indian cuisine. It is a truly authentic and flavorful dish that I absolutely love.
I visited this morning and was extremely pleased with the food quality, atmosphere, and service. I will definitely be returning and would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I am unsure how to rate this restaurant. Many of the items I wanted to order were not available, including my second choices. I appreciate the decor and concept of the restaurant, but they should at least have the items on their menu available.
Arrived at 7:45am and waited casually outside near the road so we didn 't make the staff feel pressured as their online opening hours say 8am so we waited patiently. When we went up to grab a table at 7:58am the lady said we don 't open until 8am and we said okay no worries is it okay if we sit here for a couple of minutes, replied sure but wasn 't very happy about it. We weren 't offered menus or anything whilst we waited, then 8am arrived and I went up to order and was told we are only serving coffee now kitchen doesn 't open until 8:30am which at this point I was abit confused. I then said okay is it okay if we will have to wait until 8:30am for food and she replied sure and rolled her eyes, We didn 't mind waiting with our baby minding our own business keeping positive vibes but this sort of attitudes towards patrons is just super annoying for any business and what kills businesses if you don 't have the right staff or if they are business owners themselves and have just lost passion in what they have created. Again we weren 't offered a menu or even a hey guys if you would like some menus and find what you would to order, I am happy to place the order in the kitchen and have your food start being prepared at 8:30am Instead we just felt awkward Food was great but I put that down to the chef in backhouse. The Front house was sad news Upon reading other reviews I see this is what others are also saying
We had a fun day out playing at Mordialloc beach. After a couple of fun filled hours it was time to fill our bellies before making an onward journey to go shopping. Conscious cravings co was a vegan friendly cafe that catered for our families various intolerances. Their acai bowl was delicious though slightly on the small side. My kids devoured their kids shake and waffle as well as the acai bowl with ease. Did have to ask 4x to get more water which was a bummer experience wise. Food and drink ticks the boxes. Slight improvement in service would make it amazing.
