Sidings Cafe is a unique establishment located in two 1950s railway carriages at Dufftown Railway Station, nestled between the renowned Balvenie and Glenfiddich Distilleries along the Speyside Way. We are a seasonal operation open from March to November, offering daily homemade soups, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, and delicious platters featuring cheese, quiche, or salmon. For those with a sweet tooth, we also have an array of homemade cakes available. Proud recipients of the Taste of Scotland Award, we prioritize using the best local produce to create our dishes. Our cozy 30-seater cafe requires reservations, as we cater to parties over four people due to our carriage layout. Cash and card payments are accepted, and we offer wheelchair access. Assistance dogs are welcome inside, while other dogs can enjoy our outdoor seating area. Come visit us at Sidings Cafe and let hosts Anya and Darren provide you with a memorable dining experience.

A charming local eatery offering delightful afternoon teas with excellent service. The platter presented at the table was lovely, with a focus on cakes over sandwiches, but still plentiful. The atmosphere in the railway carriage was cozy and inviting. We even had enough leftovers to take home for tea. Highly recommended.
I've been to lunch and dinner for the private evening. everything I can say is amazing. the personal, eating, location and atmosphere was before place and will recommend this to everyone. many thanks karen and her team for a nice time, and I and my family will be back
Well worth the three hour round trip for great coffee, delicious cakes and friendly service with lovely old-style music in the quirkiest of cafés!
This restaurant is fantastic for dining. The food and service are top-notch, and the unique experience of eating in a railway carriage adds to the charm. I highly recommend it.
This restaurant is always a fantastic choice, but their Christmas menu truly exceeds expectations. The meal was outstanding and offered great value. Darren and Anya provide exceptional service, and the decorations and ambience are unmatched. The waiting staff are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place at any time of year, but it is especially amazing during the holiday season.
