Reviews - Scribbles
Reviews summary
Scribbles has become a culinary conundrum, with experiences ranging from delightful to disheartening. While many patrons rave about the delicious gluten-free pizzas, attentive service, and a diverse menu encompassing vegetarian options, others lament a significant decline in food quality. Disappointing dishes, such as nearly empty duck pizzas and poorly prepared pasta, have drawn criticism, alongside concerns about cleanliness. Despite a few shining reviews celebrating robust flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, the inconsistency raises questions. Overall, Scribbles invites curiosity, making it a place worth trying, but diners should tread cautiously.

The staff at this restaurant are wonderful and very helpful when it comes to gluten-free options. I ordered the spaghetti Bolognese with gluten-free spaghetti, instead of the usual penne, and highly recommend it!

Booked a table so no problems there even though it was very busy. We had been booked on a table down a few steps which was not suitable for one of our party's accessibility needs but was promptly reallocated another table. Exceptional friendly service throughout. Delicious food. Can't wait to return. Thanks Scribbles
Ordered a duck pizza and there was duck all meat on it. Other people's food was about the same, manager was nice and reduced the cost of bill but the food was a bit disappointing.
The food was very poor. The pizza’s were stodgy with virtually no topping, everything else was tasteless. Apparently the chef who earned the good reviews has left so the standard has plummeted. A complete waste of money and a huge disappointment when we are just visiting for the evening. Toilets were also grubby to say the least.
Pizza was like stodge. Couldn’t eat it. Tasteless. A real disappointment. Practically no duck on the duck pizza. I would never go again.

I was so glad to find somewhere where several vegan pizza options offer. We chose the collection on Hoptapp. The pizza just came out of the oven when we arrived at the pick-up time that we had chosen and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I had the Vegan BBQ Jackfruit and my partner had the Vegetarian Etna. I found my something on the sweet side for my personal taste, but absolutely delicious, and I managed to disturb a whole 14 medium pan without too much. The Etna was apparently quite hot and went very well down. Can't wait until I pass the next by Elgin, so I can try the vegan pepperoni!
Scribbles is a spacious and popular restaurant. The menu offers a variety of tasty options, making it perfect for groups with different taste preferences. I especially enjoyed the vegan pizzas on offer. Another bonus is that you can enjoy a meal here for under ten dollars. On my last visit, I tried the vegan ice cream coffee and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. Overall, I loved my experience at Scribbles.
Lovely vegan pizza, I had the caramelised onion with extra jalapeños! Also soya latte was very nice. No vegan cakes for me today. Maybe for the best. Lovely atmosphere in here now it’s been refurbished. Lots of gins including locally made. Will definitely come back.
The pizza was delicious with a variety of dishes to choose from. I opted for the caramelized onion pizza topped with roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh spinach.
Since our usual café was closed today, we decided to give Scribbles a try. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff member who assured us that gluten-free and vegan options were available. We decided to try the BBQ jackfruit pizza and roasted vegetable salad, which were both delicious despite a slightly slow kitchen. The dishes were well-presented and very tasty. For dessert, we indulged in the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, which was also excellent. We would definitely return to Scribbles and would recommend it to anyone in search of delicious vegan and gluten-free options.
