I visited this restaurant today and enjoyed a wonderful Latte and a tasty cheese scone. I was greeted by a friendly young staff member named Andrea, who was very helpful and provided excellent service. Thank you for a pleasant experience.
I visited this restaurant today and we all ordered sausage baps. Unfortunately, I have to say that it was a terrible experience. The bap was dry and had no butter on it, and the sausages were cold. In my opinion, they need more staff to ensure that customers are not waiting too long for their food. I would not recommend getting a bap for lunch here, as my experience was awful.
We decided to pop into tesco's elgin store to grab some lunch as we were travelling through. We noticed there was a cafe so we thought it would be better. It wasn't. The service was okay-ish. They seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. One of the cooks didn't even know what was on the menu! She had to look at the well menu when we asked for a meal and then shouted through to the back to check if they did it or not. One woman didn't even have an apron on! None of them were in uniform either. We were told there would be a 10min wait for our food. We were waiting for 30/40 mins. My sons meal came out after 5 mins of waiting though. The chips were so dry. Will not be going again.
Three of us simply wanted to have tea, coffee, and cakes. The staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. The seating area and tables were all clean, as were the toilets. The restaurant has a large car park and is conveniently located near the main shopping center.
Do not go to this cafe unless you enjoy standing in a queue while 1 person is on the till, making coffees and chatting to her friends while the other cafe staff are in the back. Oh yes, the food? Well, the all day breakfast was abysmal as well, the bacon was as hard as nails the chips were that were so dark brown and brittle. The eggs were ok, they were cooked to order, but everything else had been kept under the lights for ages. This is not the first time I've been subjected to this terrible service and lack of ANY hospitality, but it will be the last!! Come on Tesco, your customers deserve better than this!
