After having some disappointing lunches at other places recently, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience at this unique cafe. It was definitely the best meal we've had in a while. We enjoyed a delicious homemade sweet potato and spinach curry, a well-stuffed brown wrap with brie, cranberries and walnuts, a chocolate brownie Chia with berries, all accompanied by the best coffee we've had in a long time. What Blomk doesn't like about Blue Angel Cafe:
The positives are the cake was good and the coffee nice.My experience and perception of the young gent who served us was that he was doing US the favour . It did make us laugh. View all feedback.
I love this cafe. Refreshments are of a high standard. Good variety. Seating good and in line with present situation. Sit inside or out. Lovely staff. A credit to the area and the Foundation.
Had a coffee and croissants. Queued up and ate outside which was only option. The service was friendly and the food was nice and fresh. Lovely tables in lovely surroundings
Visited this cafe a number of times. Unfriendly to the point of being down right miserable. My husband ordered a coffee and a slice of cake, I couldn’t believe how small they’d managed to cut the slice. I was shocked. To add insult to injury a local came in just after us and ordered the same cake, she received a slice that was at least 3 times bigger! Not kidding. The coffee is good but that does not make up for the favouritism they show to the locals, and the grumpy service. The Bakehouse cafe in Findhorn has great food and coffee and we are treat without partiality, with super friendly service. Go there instead.
We drove to the Findhorn Foundation and parked by the shop with the intention of walking to the dunes to take a look at the wind turbines at close quarters. The problem was we had to pass the Phoenix cafe! We had been in before when it was called something different and although we weren't terribly impressed then, we remembered it for its good coffee. Sure enough, that's as far as we got! It was still fairly early in the morning but it can never be too soon for coffee – can it? The advantage of going in early was it wasn't busy which we imagine could be a problem considering it's really quite small. That said, there is plenty of seating outside if you're well wrapped up for a chilly February day! The cafe seemed to have gone through some sort of transformation. The atmosphere was welcoming which we didn't remember from before and the range of cakes was really inviting! Since it looked as though the walk had been postponed, we thought to make an outing of it! Good decision! The cakes were as delicious as they looked and the coffee great. Hopefully, we will be able to return in the autumn and find it open again!
Lovely soup vegan burger. Great coffee. Friendly helpful staff a unique atmosphere . Cakes looked excellent but we were too full to try them
