The Pioneer Grill offers fantastic breakfast options, and the Blue Heron Lounge is a beautiful and relaxing spot for a drink and snack. The staff was very helpful and check-in was quick. The activities director was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, there is ongoing construction so there are no views from inside, but there is a staircase to an outside view. We stayed in a house with a terrace and loved it, highly recommend it. Taking a short walk around the lodge offers some nice sights. The restaurant is located at 6,700 ft above sea level, so it can be a bit cool, but the sunny weather makes up for it. Make sure to use OpenTable to reserve dinner in the mural room, the food and service are amazing. We also enjoyed browsing the gift and sports clothing stores in the area. Keep in mind that everything is a bit more expensive, but the service and quality are definitely worth it (they support sustainable farms and greenhouses, etc.). We will definitely be back!
