Snak Shak - Moosup

The Snack Shak in Moosup CT has one of the best lobster roll in north east CT the new England chowder was fair, the French fries were good would go back at the drop of a trap.

A fun little snack bar with very good food. Outside picnic area for eating, with shade or sun as you choose, friendly staff and good prices. The onion rings were homemade and wonderfuly crispy, good fish sandwich, excellent chicken salad, and generous portions. Stop by!

Saw the ad as they advertise in the local paper all the time. Was hesitant at first (Moosup is not known for fine dining! but was pleasantly surprised. Located behind the Bakers Dozen it's a great little dairy bar with a well done courtyard for outside seating. A small fish pond and plenty if flowers kept it to a garden like atmosphere. Food was excellent. They use real lobster in their rolls and make a lot of their stuff in house. We passed on their ice cream but did try their fried Twinkie delish! A great little spot for locals or if you are on a bike ride.

I LOVE this spot! The food is amazing, you sit outside under tents with a small pond and fountain... the ice cream is just as amazing! Prices are normal for this kind of walk up and order place, and they have a lot to choose from!
