We’ve been here before so we decided to come back for some hibachi. The host was extremely rude, gave us attitude when we asked questions and slammed a pencil on our menus when we were sitting down. Since we went last, they changed the menu to NOT include fried rice with the hibachi. They want you to pay $2.95 extra for something that traditionally comes with the meal FOR FREE. We got up and walked out. Scamming with a side of rudeness, no thanks!
Had the steak and scallop combo...the scallops didn't taste fresh and tasted a little rubbery. I felt like the protein portions should have been more.
Overpriced, bland and cold food, didn't taste very good, waiters missing, not a good experience, etcParking: Ok parking
The food was chaotic and disappointing. My shrimp and steak from the lunch menu were both overcooked. I ordered fried rice with onions and eggs, but I received plain rice instead. I recognize what miso soup should taste like, and this was nothing more than warmed sea water. Overall, it's outrageously overpriced for such a disorganized experience.
The food was outstanding as we indulged in some fresh appetizers and main courses. One of us ordered the steak and chicken hibachi meal, while I opted for the tropical fried rice. We can't wait to return for the full hibachi experience at one of the grills. Even though our dish wasn't prepared in front of us, it was fantastic. The fried rice was packed with shrimp, chicken, and pineapple, all seasoned with curry. It was quite spicy for our request for mild, but still incredibly tasty. The seating area feels a bit outdated and could use some love, as could the entrance. I was surprised by this since the restaurant had been closed for renovations, which may have only included the kitchen. Overall, I would recommend this place as a solid option for Asian cuisine. The prices were reasonable—neither exorbitantly high nor exceptionally cheap. The portion of fried rice was large enough for two meals. This is also a great takeout spot, which seemed to be the main focus of their business during our early Sunday lunch visit.
