Stopped for coffee, returned the next day for breakfast on our way home. I normally drink Tobys estate coffee which is my favourite, however I really enjoyed this coffee. Food was served promptly considering we were very early and they were still setting up. Sat outside so we could breath in the lovely mountain air. Service was very warm and welcoming . There are several good eateries in Montville .....as we had not tried Mountain Bean, thought it worth a try: small, clean and pleasant looking. However service was disappointing: young lady tried to help us with menu options but the more senior waitress was sharp and somewhat brusque: you do not expect a service provider to say sharply "can only do one thing at a time!" especially when you are a polite paying custome... They do the simple food so well. Eggs Benny cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of runniness. And the breakfast special of coffee and bacon/egg sandwich for 13.50 is a super deal (you can upsize the coffee for a pittance). We found this cute little cafe at this gorgeous little village, Montville Hinterlands Qld. Best bacon and egg muffin EVER. Pancakes were pretty good too as you can see by the polished plates. Highly recommend. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
