What User doesn't like about Spindletop:
The food, drinks, and service were impeccable (except for hostess who seemed to be unhappy with her job) would’ve received 5 stars if they were more accommodating with the seating. We made a reservation in advanced didn’t know you had to specify in order to sit by the window and enjoy the view. The hostess told us that the seating would be full so we were not allowed to sit there. Unfortunately that was not the case... View all feedback.
This restaurant is one of the best places in Houston for special occasions such as anniversaries. It is the only revolving restaurant in Houston and offers amazing views along with delicious dishes. It has a very elegant atmosphere, but it can be a bit pricey. However, the quality of the food and service make it worth it. The portions may be small, but the taste is exceptional. We highly recommend trying dishes like grilled Pacific tiger shrimp, southwest jumbo lump crab cakes, roasted red snapper, and ancho-glazed grilled chicken breast. Overall, it is the perfect place to spend quality time together.
The restaurant was incredibly romantic and the staff was very kind. The prices were high, but the quality of the food justified it. The view of the Ferris wheel and city streets from the table was amazing. It felt like being in a different world at that moment.

The wine selection was impressive, and our server made a fantastic recommendation based on our preferences. My lamb dish was beautifully presented, tender, and delectable. My dining companion also enjoyed her surf and turf dinner. There were no complaints about our visit. I would easily give this restaurant a five-star rating for an incredible culinary experience.
My man and I celebrated our 13th annual day in the Spindletop food, atmosphere and 360° is amazing. the appetizer mac n cheese is a must try. you will not be disappointed! herbal rack from lamb, golf shrimp spicy lobster ravioli and rustic peach tart
This place has been around since the 70s in one iteration or another I'm told. Novel, rotating restaurant that makes a full revolution in about 45 minutes. Seafood heavy menu prepared by the hotel culinary team. Service is excellent. I emailed ahead and asked for the chef to come out to the table and talk about the menu which they did. Chef was very nice and well informed. Had a lot of knowledge about the menu and had been with the hotel for over a decade at one location or another. Tried the Charcuterie board and the seafood Mac for starters. Seafood Mac was on point but the Charcuterie board left a lot to be desired. These boards are being done well in many botique establishments and even some hotel restaurants I've stayed at. None of the offerings were horrible it just felt uninspired. Although, the chef did say they were all locally produced meats and cheeses... Main course was the rack of Lamb and the filet both were excellent and very tasty. Finished up with the chocolate mousse. Fun but dated environment with about e average but not to die for food. Would totally be a prom date or first date spot. We were there celebrating an anniversary a d another couple had rosepetals on the table. Views of the skyline were probably once much better but now you get the inside views of several neighboring skyscrapers... You can see a great view of city Hall and the ferris wheel connected to the Aquarium restaurant Lobby bar is inviting and parking is validated. Definitely a four star experience but the dining still has the hotel kitchen feel so I'm saying no to five....
