What Johnny VonRueden doesn't like about Le Cheval Blanc:
without going to the brewery, this somewhat surprising bar when you open the door welcomes you on an indoor terrace and offers a cold entrance buffet, 3 dishes and 3 desserts. We ate well. We regret not having been able to benefit from the formulas proposed for the simple reason of the drink (proposed with 1/4 wine and we do not drink it.) a little work would be used to make the place cleaner. Good family table. View all feedback.
Not the most exciting of interiors, but this bar/restaurant serves an excellent three course lunch with a 1/4 bottle of wine for around €14! The starter is a buffet of mixed salads, meats fish, followed by a choice of three main courses and several choices of dessert. Excellent value and quality!

The lunch (plat du jour) was only 8.50 euros each and was superb we had the duck option and the fish option of the day. Including coffees we only paid 40 euros for 4 people Superb food, friendly service and absolutely packed on a Friday lunchtime. Though it looks shut from the outside. Did we mention they chuck in a bottle of house red as standard (or white or rose). The is also the option for 13.50 per head, to have buffet style antipasto nibbles and also a dessert/cheese plate included.
It was a bit of a chance that brought us to lunch in this bar-restaurant of the montrichard, while we were going out of the rings to go to Cheverny. But it was a good surprise: a welcoming staff, a bar setting but an outdoor terrace, and especially good dishes at very good prices. We took a formula with a dish of the day, a dessert and a 1/4 wine for only € 10.50! Other choices are possible...The choice of dish was this day: chicken skewers or grilled hamps, accompanied by fries or homemade purée, a very good vegetable pie and a green salad. desserts were classic: cream burnt, milk eggs, cheese cake. well served, well presented and good: it was not gastronomic, but that is not what we were looking for. Ambiance guaranteed with a few men "of the raw"...Parkings nearby.
Warm and friendly restaurant. We eat family kitchen or extras cooked with a lot of professionalism. for me, I went by chance to have lunch in the week. I took the flat formula and dessert. I chose a scalope with its fresh weepers and garnished with a clean house. The most, a little ratatouille cooked wonderfully. A real treat for my taste buds. You can also choose the buffet entrance, and frankly I have rarely seen a buffet as well topped and more appetizing. price quality ratio, unbeatable! the little more I enjoyed, the leader comes to shake your hand to greet you ;)
Very good food and presentation. Excellent service. We availed ourselves to the set dinner menu. Good value.
