While the menu is impressive and the food delicious, some reviewers noted that the service could be a bit rushed. Despite this, the overall dining experience was enjoyable, with excellent options for both food and wine. With a cozy ambiance and friendly service, this French bistro is definitely worth a visit for those looking for good food at a reasonable price in the heart of Old Montreal.
After my visit to Europe this year I needed a taste of it and I was not disappointed when I came here. friendly and European atmosphere. the food was good.
If you are taking a walk in old Montreal, especially on St. Paul street, le Bourlingueur is a natural place where to stop for lunch. Honest/good food, not too pricey, pleasant service, mostly regular customers, full of ambiance of the old city...you are smack in...the middle of it.
Went there for a retirement party. The place is nice, quiet and rustic. The service was extremely long. We waited 45 minutes to order and another hour to receive our food. I had the fettuccine Alfredo. The portion was small but filling. The food was...cold and not very good. It also took a long time to receive our bill and pay.
It was a cool day and my family ordered the Parisien, Alsacien, and falafel sandwiches with a vegetable soup side. The spot is quaint and located on St Francois Street in Old Montreal and we had a window seat watching the tourists and horse driven...carriages go on by on the cobblestone streets. The pricing was decent ~45 CDN) and it was warm and inviting inside. You can also buy some snacks to go and have a shop.
From outside it seems an original place with very healthy food. Well is nice, cozy but not so original....but the food is simple, healthy and delicious! Onion soup is really good. It's not like a typical US restaurant where the waiter come to your table...like Flash, so you have time to relax a little bit and chose your food with no rush. I loved it.
