La Societe - Montreal

Ordinary menu, and the service was very poor. Seems to me only especially nice just for a quick drink on their terrace?

We enjoyed a nice evening meal in this lovely parisien style bistro. I would recommend the seafood. The oysters were lovely.I was intrigued by their salmon bouillabaisse on the menu, it was a mixture of fish and prawns with a clear broth. delicious but it was no bouillabaisse.

We had a very pleasant, relaxed dinner at La Societe Montreal. The restaurant is very spacious with wood paneling. The wait staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. The hanger steak was tender and favorful; the duck terrine tasty, and the lobster roll generous with the portion of lobster.

We have been here many times and always come back, every time we are in town.the service and food are excellent. This time only for drinks - but was again a nice interlude while it was pouring rain outside. You feel like you are in Paris.

Can across this restaurant late at night, it not only has fantastic food especially their Duck Terrine but the setting of the restaurant is very warm and welcoming. There is plenty to choose from on the menu wether you want something lite or the full three courses. The staff are very accommodating and helpful if you have any questions. If in the area I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
