What Alona Kosorotova doesn't like about Brasserie 701:
Disappointing experience overall. Despite booking a standard table, we were initially offered a high table, requiring us to request a change. The food was a mixed bag: the salmon dish lacked the promised currant sauce, though the crème brûlée was excellent. Portions were notably small. The meal ended unpleasantly with the waiter pressuring for tips in a rude way. The restaurant needs to pay fair wages to waiters. Reg... View all feedback. What Elliot Parker likes about Brasserie 701:
I took my parents to dinner at the 701. We enjoyed the food, it is creative and beautifully presented. We had scallop risotto, the duck and salmon and appetizers. All of it was very tasty and carefully prepared. Our server was attentive and the water glasses never got emptier than half way. It isn't cheap, but I feel we got excellent value for our money. It was a lovely evening.Would recommend and hope to return. View all feedback.

read moreThe restaurant 701 in Montreal offers a stunning dining experience with beautiful dishes like beet carpaccio and shrimp, although the pork pliers were disappointing for one reviewer. The rooftop lounge is popular for its ambiance and crafted drinks, while the view is nice but the service and food were lacking for another diner. Despite some negative experiences with rushed service and forgetful staff, others enjoyed the creative and tasty food, attentive service, and lovely atmosphere at the restaurant. Saturday nights in the summer at the 701 are recommended for fireworks viewing, and the restaurant offers a unique dining experience with changing menus every two weeks. Overall, the restaurant offers a mix of positive and negative experiences, with highlights including the great atmosphere, good food, and excellent service.
We very much enjoyed both our entrees. The cauliflower puree under my salmon was absolutely amazing! The filet was excellent as well. Our server did a nice job...

The food was delicious, we had a kind server, and the food was served quickly.
This was our first time here and will certainly return
Very tasty food and great service. Nice and cossy on a cold night. Some classic dishes with some modern spin. Great wine list with affordable options.
