What User doesn't like about Takara Restaurant Japonais:
I took two specialties that were not bad but really not original. sushi couch = a fried fish (fatty chill) with on top a spicy tuna bathing in an oil. the taste was interesting but much too fat. Then, carter who had a fade taste. I never detected the spicy mayonnaise and there was too much avocado on top of it to my taste. The service was polite and kind. This is my opinion according to my criteria. I like refined an... View all feedback.
Takara is magical! Found it by accident this evening and truly happy I did. The food is absolutely delicious, the interior decor is beautiful, and the service was stellar. I cannot wait to eat Takara food once again! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Every time i come here, I feel very comfortable, there are two chefs that have their own characteristics, like the taste, like the style, friends party, or enjoy themselves are very good. .
Very delicious. A little difficult to find the restaurant but it’s worthy. My friends and I come to have dinner nearly once a month and we all love it. A really good restaurant to have a traditional Japanese experience.
Amazing fresh and unique sushi. Been coming here for over a decade and this place is still one of my top and favorite sushis places in Montreal. Any updates on when will you guys be reopening? Because i cannot wait to get more of your delicious sushis!! :
The restaurant tour near work continues. It 's tucked in the corner on the top floor of the swanky Cours Mont Royal mall. I was attracted to this place because I thought they served ramen, but it wasn 't the case, at least not for lunch. The lunch menu is bento boxes of different styles, mine had a bit of everything, sashimi, sushi, tempura and teriyaki chicken. The miso soup was good, the salad, meh. Shredded lettuce. I was kinda surprised at how loose the sushi rolls were, but the taste was fine. The sashimi wasn 't too good, unfortunately. Weirdly cut my salmon piece was huge, I could barely fit it my big mouth not top quality and had that fresh from the freezer feel. The tamago was tasty, but again, weirdly cut, I felt like they served me scraps. The tempura also felt a bit off, as if they haven 't changed the oil in the fryer for quite awhile. The chicken was good. The genmai tea was probably the best thing about the whole meal. For a lunch that cost me over 35$ with tax and tip for what amounted to food court level sushi, I was disappointed. Service was excellent however. In an area with an abundance of top shelf sushi (Sho Dan and Ryu are practically across the street), chances are I 'll never return.
