Like all good Portuguese restaurants, Portugalia has mastered the art of charcoal grilling and they are one of the best in the city. Less geared for fast service than Romados or Ma Poule Mouillée, the upside is the food is simply fantastic with careful, simple, not over the top seasoning, that lets the main ingredients shine under expert grilling technique. I have been coming here for years and I still considered it... View all feedback.
What Selmer F doesn't like about Rôtisserie Portugalia:
I went to this establishment after a long covid absence , unfortuantely the product is what what it once was . The portions that tehy now serve are smalle than what tehy had been in yearspast, The take out chickens are tiny and have hardly any meat on them now- they used to be quite plump, but no longer . So sorry to see this place tailspin to a no longer will visit position. View all feedback.
Long overdue review. Great Portuguese resto. Small restaurant, so it is a pick up only joint. Bought the family chicken combo plate that came with fries and salad. The chicken was flavorful, tender and and just plain delicious. Couldn’t go wrong with homemade fries and a nice big salad with a light and tasty dressing. Their hot sauce is phenomenal. The price was reasonable for a family combo. We were two, and had lots of leftovers.A must for take out and the staff are friendly and amazing. Parking might be a little of a hassle when picking up.
Best roasted chicken in the land. Also the fries really
The male clerk at the cash register insisted on charging the wrong price and then swore insults when asking why the price was wrong. Usually I like to help small businesses, but I would say you have to avoid this place, especially if you have children. It's just not worth the risk of exposing them to the profanities and threats of the cashier.

I ordered five dishes and received two. When I called, Portugalia told me to take my complaint to the delivery person. Terrible customer service. I will avoid this restaurant in the future.
