What Sinclair-QL doesn't like about Resto Bar La Petite Marche:
1- The place has a nice outside terrasse and inside is nice as well. The restaurant has a nice kind of open area inside. The atmosphere is very good 2- There is no line, so you will seated very fast even though in the weekend while other places you may need to wait to be seated. 3- The service is good and fast 4- The breakfast/brunch is OK comparing to some other places usually I go for breakfast. I had the mushroom omelette which was good but not extraordinary. The dish come with fresh fruit, potatoes, bacon and sausage which is more than enough for one person I believe. My wife had aubergine omelette which seems she was happy and she likes it. 5- I don 't recommend Blueberry crepes , my daughter didn 't like it.
I think this is a lovely place, well situated, and the people who work there are accommodating and very friendly. We were a group and they gave us OJ and coffee gratis, which I think is unheard of these days. I gave a 4 star because of all this. Now, the food. I had the Eggs Benedictine with spinach. I've eaten a lot of Eggs Benedict in my life and this one wasn't great. It was a huge platter as there tends to be in restos for brunch in this city, 3 halves of a roll, two poached eggs, ham, spinach, plus 4 or 5 strips of bacon, one sausage, mushrooms, potatoes, and a fruit bowl. I also had a bowl of latte at the get go. The highlight of the meal was the fruit and the latte. Sadly, I did not really enjoy the bulk of the meal, although the sausage wasn't bad, had some flavor, not overly so, but enough—in the breakfast sausage category. The rest, so-so to not-to-my-taste. And if it was just the food I would have gone 3 stars. I will say I'm picky about Eggs Benedict. I was surprised to find ham on the dish when I ordered spinach. But the spinach wasn't cooked in a pleasant way anyway. I ended up moving the eggs to one of the 3 halves of a roll(s) and eating just that, tasting the potatoes and mushrooms and bacon (of which there was a lot and left 95% of all of it). I did eat the sausage. And as said, the fruit bowl was lovely, a nice variety, all fresh, colorful. And the latte was excellent. So overall, 4 stars, but really, I wouldn't go back for brunch, though I might try lunch or dinner. There is a terrasse as well, which is always a welcome edition in Montreal.
Very good, fresh food. We visited for a brunch. Dishes were huge but fresh and delicious. Friendly personnel.
We stopped here as soon as we got to Montreal and it gave us a great taste of what to expect food wise in Montreal. It set our expectations high. Everything was delicious and staff was very friendly. Great food!
It's a nice place for breakfast, especially if the weather was nice and you can eat outside. The food was okay, I can't say we didn't enjoy it but it also wasn't anything unique. For those who don't speak french, it might be tough ordering. They have no English menu and both waiters who came to our table barely spoke any English. So had to depend on a translation app. Service was also poor, our table was ignored for the most part and I couldn't get a hold of the waiter whenever we needed something. The check also took 20mins to get to us after asking for it which made the whole thing frustrating.
