Big fan of Portugal, we've tested yesterday this restaurant that was well noted.Honestly, even though I like Portuguese food, the chicken was awfully dry, the fries were there to fill your stomach than anything and the wine was View all feedback. What Santa Wisozk likes about Jano:
An absolutely wonderful family restaurant for people who love grill!! I tried to chop their whole sea bass grill (succulent fish with signature hot sauce and loads of frits), lamb (aromatic and good portion size, but could be a little more delicate) traditional Portuguese grilled chicken! read moreRestaurant Jano offers a mix of experiences, with some patrons having a less than stellar dining experience and others singing its praises. Despite some dissatisfaction with dry chicken and bland steak, the restaurant scored points for speedy service and a warm atmosphere. One customer was disappointed in the burnt and tasteless chicken they received, while others raved about the succulent sea bass and lamb chops, calling the restaurant a must-visit for grill lovers. The friendly staff, cozy ambiance, and location on beautiful Saint-Lawrence street were highlighted as positives. The flavorful spices, generous portions, and delicious bread also received mention in positive reviews. Overall, while there were mixed opinions on the food quality, Restaurant Jano seems to have its fair share of loyal fans who appreciate the taste of Portugal it brings to Montreal.
