Today, my family and I went cross-country skiing and got hungry on the way home in the late afternoon. We decided to stop at Frite Alors on Avenue Du Parc. Despite its small size, the restaurant was cozy and welcoming. Our friendly waitress checked on us regularly. My husband ordered a pulled pork burger with a side of fries and BBQ sauce, while I tried a smoked meat dish called Poutine Montrealaise along with a Bore... View all feedback.

At this point tonight (about 9, 2021) and service was terrible. First, waiting was extremely long for a fast food restaurant. Secondly, I ordered a European hot dog and it was not served on Ciabatta bread. Thirdly, the Pommes portion was really not generous another Friday I went to this place compared to all other locations, so I had to ask them to put a decent part. Finally, but probably most importantly, the lady who made the food was on a call, then touch her phone the food and even put her phone on the counter with all the food. These are all fixable problems when they are addressed.
Heard great things about this franchise and decide to try it out. I ordered the pulled duck poutine (La Canarduck) and one of their specialty burgers (The Royal de Charlevoix). They were both served freshly made by their friendly staff and I had the option to either dine in the restaurant or out on the terrasse. On a bright sunny day, I chose the latter. They were served on platters and they were so tasty. You'd definitely want to take your time savoring them. They even have Stewart's Cola or a choice of beers to wash your meal down.
We ordered for delivery two burgers with fries. The delivery time was good enough for a Friday night. However, they didn't mentioned that they were out of gluten-free bun, so I had a regular bun instead. The delivery guy told me that the bread wasn't the one I ordered. I would have like to know up front, I would have ordered something else. The beef/pork patty had a really odd taste. The mayos were ok. We won't order from there again. The only star I gave is for the delivery time and the fries.
Very friendly staff. Gabrielle is very sociable and always smiley. Poutine is well cooked as I ordered my first poutine there. They also serve beer and have giant screen for hockey and other sport. Cozy ambiance. Will go back fir sure.
Had to edit this to one star as I ended up feeling quite nauseous a couple of hours after eating here. Not going back for a second trip. Original review below this. Poutine is let down by soggy fries. Burgers are better than the poutine. Grilled cheese sandwiches literally swimming in grease. Rather disappointing overall. If I were to go back, it wouldn't be for the fries.
