Grew up near Chez Ma Tante and go back when ever I visit Montreal. Have introduced my son to it, and he now asks to go when we visit. Nothing like an all dressed steamie and some real fries and vinegar. My son says the poutine is the best! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Chez Ma Tante:
Tried it and let me tell you it's just another hot dog nothing really impressive about the taste didn't leave saying wow that was great they could put more fries with your order when you order fries View all feedback.
I have lived in this neighborhood my whole life and have always adored this place. They serve some of the best poutine and hotdogs in the city. The food is consistently excellent and they also stay open late.
The best, but expensive. The menu has expanded and the prices have gone up. There is no justification for these high prices, which is probably why the restaurant closes early. If you don't believe me, go there and order a coke, fries, and two hot dogs. The prices for fountain drinks and fries are outrageous, showing greed. However, their hot dogs and fries are top-notch.
Best hot-dogs in Montreal (Shopsy's weiners). Every other kind (Lesters, Schneiders) pales in comparison.
This is the best hot dog in town, as one reviewer mentioned. The menu may be simple, but they have perfected the hotdog and French fries. The hot dog has a delicious smoky flavor that complements the homemade coleslaw perfectly. It is definitely worth a try, and after a second visit, you may find yourself addicted.
The menu has been the same for over 30 years! 1. Hot dogs 2. Fries 3. Drinks non alcholic) And new since 3 years ago poutine. Why you should go. Best hotdog anywhere. The hotdog itself actually tastes yummy and the coleslaw is homemade. My favorite is a Mu-shu moutard et salade de Chou) Try the hotdogs. You 'll then find all others taste like ****. They only use the best 'Shoppseys '
