During our trip to Montreal, we visited two other places in Old Montreal and the inner city, but became big fans of this cafe. It was the first one to open and is larger than the other two. The baristas at all locations are cool. We ordered Caffe Crema, Tiramisu, and Cannoli and were impressed with the quality. We recommend trying the imported Tiramisu, it was perfect. Whenever we are in Montreal, we make sure to vis... View all feedback.
What Naguib B doesn't like about Cafe Olimpico Mile End:
It is indeed one of the best coffee in Montreal. The bean, the roasting, and the flavour is high quality. Yet this is all about it! The waiter was not very helpful, just in a rush. The washroom is not clean! Amazing atmosphere though! You feel a blend of Italy and Portugal in one place. View all feedback.

Super cute little cafe in old town Montreal aka Vile Marie where almost everything is 1940’s French architecture and cobble stone cuteness. Cafe was extremely busy on my every visit. There aren’t too many here in this part of town: or as nice. Owner is older gentleman and very fast pace but friendly. Baristas are younger men that’s friendly and fast. On my first visit: my friend kept talking about affogato… I asked for something pretty: barista promised to make me the prettiest latte ever. Then he felt the pressure of over promising: we made him nervous as he said. It wasn’t the prettiest but it was fluffy for sure. Way too sweet for my taste he overheard us talking about affogato, ended up making me affogato). My friend went with normal latte which is what I usual order. Next visit: I made sure I get a normal latte. Which was a much better choice. No syrups! Less sweet, nice and bitter like all my exes :P Cafe is also connected to a hotel: brand new modern architecture, hanging chandeliers, green plants wall. It’s like night and day walking from the cafe to the lobby. Old world and new world together. Quite unique. If you can manage to grab a table 1 out of 3) in the cafe, it’s quite fun to people watch. Cute vibe and fluffy latte minus the affogato): with the gorgeous cobble stone road outside. I’m a fan!
If you are in Montreal, You have to visit this place. Especially if you like coffee and delicious French pastries. The people the ambience, the coffee everything was great. I highly recommend coming here and spend the afternoon, relaxing, drinking coffee, and watching people.
While in Montreal I pinned lots of coffee shops in my map and ended up being able to go to all 3 locations of Cafe Olimpico. By far the best coffee shop in town… they all close late, so you can have an affogato at 10pm if you want. Always bumping and exciting and most importantly, authentic and delicious!
Love this place. I used to go daily when I worked a few blocks away. The coffee tastes amazing. The vibe is amazing. Don’t let the line up scare you, it will go so fast! They can 40 people in 10 minutes. Then they are so sweet…they will stir in the sugar for you if you want and sprinkle it with coco. They have a cute place to sit on benches outside. Enjoy.
